肚臍是藝術家Ｍ的作品，之前的形式是皮帶伸進了磨平的輪胎裡頭，用一把她家的鑰匙固定住。

The belt then stretched out, coiled into a circle with milk powder placed inside.

皮帶在延伸出來，繞成一圈裡頭放著奶粉。

M said this formed the symbol of infinity.

Ｍ說，這形成了無限的符號。

But the tire couldn’t be brought along.

但輪胎帶不過來。

So she hoped that I would decide what lies at the other end of the belt.

於是她希望由我決定，皮帶的另一端是什麼。

Literary critics surely wouldn’t understand what this is about, questioning whether this is even an art problem—hell, do we still have things like this today?

文學評論家肯定搞不懂這是在做些什麼，質疑這是否是藝術問題，他媽現在還有這種東西嗎？

But that’s not the discussion here; what I’m talking about is my own discovery, an event equal to this work.

但我們不在這邊討論，而所說的是，關於我發現，與這件作品同等的事件。
